In this blog I will teach you how to setup Yahoo.com.ve using IMAP and SMTP in an easy to follow language!
History of Yahoo.com.ve
Yahoo! Mail is an email service launched on October 8, 1997, by the American company Yahoo, Inc. It offers four different email plans: three for personal use (Basic, Plus, and Ad Free) and another for businesses. As of January 2020, Yahoo! Mail has 225 million users. Users are able to access and manage their mailboxes using webmail interface, accessible using a standard web browser. Some accounts also supported the use of standard mail protocols (POP3 and SMTP). Since 2015, users can also connect non-Yahoo e-mail accounts to the webmail client. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo!_Mail
Configuring Yahoo.com.ve
It is possible that the Mail app will find your parameters itself, and configure your account. Follow these steps to try:
- Open Settings, then Mail and click Accounts
- Tap Add Account > Other, then click Add Mail Account
- Type your name, email address, password and a description for your account.
- Click Next. The Mail app should now try and find the mail parameters and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds the e-mail configuration, tap Done to complete your account setup.
