Setting up Hutchison Denmark for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this article we will try to demonstrate how to set up Hutchison Denmark with IMAP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple way!

How to set up Hutchison Denmark:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Configuration

  1. Select the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both. Please see the table below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP keeps the emails on the server and it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the server and it will store them on your device.
  2. Type in the password for the mail address and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.

Outgoing Mail Server Settings

  1. After you type the parameters, you can tap Next.
  2. Check Require sign-in
  3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
