Configuring asahi-net.or.jp for your Android Device

How to configure asahi-net.or.jp:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving E-mail

1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not provide both. Refer to the information below for possible settings.
   • IMAP protocol will keep the mails on the server and it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol in almost all cases.
   • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
2. Type the password for your e-mail address and tap Next.
3. Refer to the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Settings Required for Sending Mail (via SMTP)

1. After you enter the parameters, click Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Please refer to the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
