Setting up Clear.net.nz for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this article I will simply demonstrate configuring Clear.net.nz using IMAP and SMTP for your Android Phone in an easy to follow fashion!

How to setup Clear.net.nz

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Needed for Receiving E-mail

  1. Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both options! You may want to see the table below for possible parameters.
    • IMAP stores the emails on the server but it will display a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol in most cases.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type the password for your e-mail address and tap Next.
  3. Please see the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.

Configuration Required for Sending Email (using SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, click Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
