Setting up internet-e-mail.com for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this blog I will simply summarize how to configure internet-e-mail.com with IMAP and SMTP for an Android Tablet in a straightforward way!

Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Configuring internet-e-mail.com

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Needed for Receiving Mail

  1. Select the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both options. You may want to check out the information below for available protocols.
    • IMAP stores the e-mails on the server and it will keep a copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for most users.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type the password for your e-mail account and click Next.
  3. Please see the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

  1. Once the settings are filled in, you can click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please use the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
