Configuring fmail.co.uk for an Android Device

In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. How to setup fmail.co.uk:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Required for Receiving E-mail

1. Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not provide both protocols! Refer to the information below for the correct settings.
   • IMAP stores the e-mails on the server, and it will display a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol for almost all users.
   • POP3 will download the emails from the server and it will store them on your device.
2. Type in the password for the email account and tap Next.
3. Please see the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Setup Required for Receiving Mail with IMAP

Settings Required for Sending Email (using SMTP)

1. After you type in the parameters, click Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Please refer to the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
