How to configure Iinet.net.au for your Android Tablet

With this article we will simply teach you how to setup Iinet.net.au with IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow language.

Setting up Iinet.net.au:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Configuration

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both protocols. Refer to the table below for available settings.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the emails on the server, and it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol in most cases.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type the passphrase for your e-mail account and click Next.
  3. Refer to the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing Mail Settings

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, tap Next.
  2. Check Require sign-in
  3. Please use the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
