How to configure imap-mail.com for your Android Device

Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Setting up imap-mail.com:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Settings

1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both protocols! Refer to the information below for possible settings.
   • IMAP protocol stores the mails on the server, but it will display a cached copy on your device. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
   • POP3 downloads the mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android phone.
2. Enter the password for the e-mail address and tap Next.
3. Please refer to the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Setup Required for Receiving E-mail using IMAP

Outgoing Mail Settings (using SMTP)

1. After you type in the parameters, you can tap Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Please refer to the following information in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
