Configuring Mymts.net for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this post I will explain how to configure Mymts.net using IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple way.

Setting up Mymts.net

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Needed for Receiving Email

  1. Choose the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not provide both options! Please refer to the information below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP will store the emails on the server, and it will show a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android device.
  2. Type the passphrase for the email account and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Needed for Sending E-mail

  1. After you enter the settings, click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
