How to configure Orange.net.il for your Android Phone

With this article we will try to explain configuring Orange.net.il using POP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow fashion!

Orange, formerly France Télécom S.A., is a French multinational telecommunications corporation. It has 266 million customers worldwide and employs 89,000 people in France, and 59,000 elsewhere. It is the 11th largest mobile network operator in the world and the 4th largest in Europe after Vodafone, Telefónica, Deutsche Telekom. In 2015, the group had revenue of €40 billion. How to setup Orange.net.il:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Email Server Setup

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not support both! You may want to check out the information below for possible parameters.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the e-mails on the server and it will display a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
    • POP3 will download the emails from the server and it will store them on your Android device.
  2. Enter the passphrase for your mail address and tap Next.
  3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Required for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are typed in, you can click Next.
  2. Check Require sign-in
  3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
