How to configure Tango Mail for an iPhone
With this blog we will simply demonstrate how to set up Tango Mail using IMAP and SMTP in an easy to follow way!
Configuring Tango Mail:
It is possible that Mail will find your email configuration automatically, and complete setting up your account. Apply these steps first to see if it will:
- Go to Settings > Mail then click Accounts.
- Click Add Account, tap Other, then click Add Mail Account
- Enter your name (can be any name), email address, your password with a description for account.
- Click Next. Mail should try to find the mail configuration and finish your account setup. If Mail finds the email configuration, tap Done to complete your account setup.
In case the Mail app hasn't been able to automatically set up your account, it means that you will have to enter them manually. We think you may need the following information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Configuration
Server Hostname | imap.tango.lu |
Server Port | 143 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Settings Needed for Sending Email (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | mail.tango.lu |
Server Port | 25 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select IMAP or POP for your new account If you aren't certain which one to choose, contact Tango Mail.
- Type in the information (You will want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next
- If the email setup is correct, click Save to complete the setup. If the e-mail setup is incorrect, the app will ask you to modify the configuration
- In case you still aren't able to configure the account, or store your e-mail settings, contact Tango Mail.
