How to set up Terra for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this blog we will simply demonstrate configuring Terra using POP and SMTP for your Android Phone in an easy to follow way.

Configuring Terra

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Needed for Receiving Mail

  1. Select the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both options! Refer to the table below for the correct parameters.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the mails on the server and it will keep a copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol in most cases.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type the password for the mail address and click Next.
  3. Please use the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail

  1. Once the settings are filled in, you can tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
