Configuring Wildblue.net for an iOS Device

With this blog I will simply demonstrate how to set up Wildblue.net with IMAP and SMTP in a simple language...

Configuring Wildblue.net

It is possible that the Mail app will find your email configuration automatically then configure your account. Apply these steps first in order to try:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail and click Accounts.
  2. Click Add Account > Other and click Add Mail Account.
  3. Type in your name (can be any name), your email address, password with a description for your account.
  4. Click Next. Mail will now try and find the mail settings and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds your e-mail settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.

In case the Mail app couldn't automatically set up your account, it means that you will need to enter them yourself. You may find the following table useful:

Settings Needed for Receiving Email with IMAP

Settings Needed for Sending Email (via SMTP)

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Select IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to choose, contact Wildblue.net
  2. Type the details (You may want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
  3. If the e-mail settings are correct, tap Save to finish the setup. If your mail setup is incorrect, you'll be asked to edit those settings.
  4. If you still are not able to set up the account, or store your email settings, contact Wildblue.net.
