
How to set up Gbta.net for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)
In this blog I will summarize how to set up Gbta.net with SMTP and POP for an Android Tablet in a simple language.

Configuring Gbta.net
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Settings Needed for Receiving Mail
- Select the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both! Please see the information below for the correct protocols.
- IMAP protocol will keep the e-mails on the server but it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
- POP3 will download the e-mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
- Type in the passphrase for the email account and click Next.
- Please see the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
- Click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |

Outgoing Mail Setup (using SMTP)
- Once the settings are entered, you can tap Next.
- Turn on Require sign-in
- Please use the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
- Click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Server Port | 25 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | NONE |
