Setting up Hkbn.net for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this article we will try to summarize setting up Hkbn.net with POP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple fashion!

How to set up Hkbn.net:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Setup

  1. Select the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services provide both protocols. You may want to refer to the table below for the correct protocols.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the emails on the server but it will keep a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting in most cases.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android device.
  2. Type the passphrase for your email account and tap Next.
  3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

  1. Once the parameters are typed in, you can click Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Please use the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
