How to configure imap.cc for an Android Device

What is imap.cc:

Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Setting up imap.cc:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Settings

1. Choose the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not support both protocols. Please check out the table below for available parameters.
   • IMAP protocol stores the e-mails on the server but it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
   • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android device.
2. Enter the password for the mail account and tap Next.
3. Please refer to the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Settings

Outgoing E-mail Settings (via SMTP)

1. After you type in the settings, tap Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Please see the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
