In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Configuring mailftp.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Setup

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both options. Refer to the table below for the correct parameters.
    • IMAP stores the e-mails on the server, but it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type in the passphrase for the email account and click Next.
  3. Please use the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Sending Email (via SMTP)

  1. After you type the settings, tap Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please use the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
