How to configure Mygotalk.com.au for your Android Device

With this article we will explain setting up Mygotalk.com.au using POP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a straightforward fashion.

Setting up Mygotalk.com.au:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Setup

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not provide both protocols! Please check out the table below for available parameters.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the emails on the server and it will display a copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type the password for your mail address and click Next.
  3. Use the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Settings Required for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)

  1. After you enter the parameters, click Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Use the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
