Configuring Pacific.net.sg for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this article I will summarize how to set up Pacific.net.sg with POP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow language!

Setting up Pacific.net.sg:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Server Configuration

  1. Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both protocols. You may want to see the information below for possible settings.
    • IMAP will keep the e-mails on the server, and it will show a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type in the password for your e-mail address and click Next.
  3. Please refer to the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

  1. After you enter the parameters, you can tap Next.
  2. Check Require sign-in
  3. Please use the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
