Configuring PEPB Online for your Android Phone

With this blog we will try to explain setting up PEPB Online with POP and SMTP for your Android Device in a simple language!

How to configure PEPB Online

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Setup

  1. Choose the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not provide both protocols. Please see the information below for available protocols.
    • IMAP stores the emails on the server but it will keep a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your device.
  2. Enter the password for your email address and tap Next.
  3. Please refer to the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing Mail Configuration (via SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are typed in, click Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Please use the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.
