How to configure Ziggomail.com for your Android Phone

With this post we will summarize setting up Ziggomail.com using IMAP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple fashion.

Setting up Ziggomail.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Required for Receiving Email

  1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services provide both protocols! You may want to refer to the information below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP protocol will keep the e-mails on the server and it will display a copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol for almost all users.
    • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Type in the passphrase for your mail account and tap Next.
  3. Use the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Settings Required for Sending E-mail

  1. After you type in the settings, you can click Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please use the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
